1. Teurlings vs Archbishop Rummel
The Rebels non-district schedule is highlighted by some of the toughest teams in the state and this is another tough opponent and inside Tulane’s stadium no less. There’s even something for the Cajuns fans with the Rebels taking on one of the big-name commits in Chandler Fields. It’s going to be a tough ballgame, but this is a game that if I had the ability to do so, I’d be in there like swimwear.
2. Northside vs St. Martinville
I mentioned this during the postgame show that the Tigers of St. Martinville are my biggest surprise after they got out to a 3-0 start. They’ll be taking on a Northside team that has stepped their game up in the last couple of seasons and aren’t going to be a cellar dweller in 4-4A, at least in my estimation. While it’s not as marquee as some of the other matchups, this one could tell you a lot about the two teams.
3. Notre Dame vs Catholic High New Iberia
#1 vs #2. Is there anything else I need to say? It’s Brent Indest up against Lewis Cook and this is a monster of a ballgame.
4. St. Thomas More vs Catholic-Baton Rouge
I usually pick three ballgames, but I’m going to cheat and have no problem with it. The Cougars are looking to be a team that is incredibly difficult to beat.
