Trey Ragas keeps finding his way into the end zone.
The former Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns star running back took advantage of playing time in Saturday’s NFL preseason game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams.
The Raiders rookie carried the ball six times for only one yard but that one yard was a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Ragas also caught two receptions for 24 yards in the 17-16 victory.
That performance comes a week after Ragas made a splash in the first preseason game.
In the 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Ragas led all rushers with 62 yards on 13 carries and a one-yard touchdown run. Ragas also had three receptions for 20 yards.
The 5-foot-10, 214-pound rookie is battling for a spot on the 53-man roster as the Raiders already have running backs Josh Jacobs, Theo Riddick, Kenyan Drake, Jalen Richard, and Alec Ingold on the roster.
Ragas rushed for 3,572 yards, averaging 6.0 yards per carry, and scored 38 rushing touchdowns in his four seasons playing for the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Las Vegas will wrap up its preseason with a game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
