Cole Kelley has earned his second All-American honors.

The former Teurlings Catholic star and Southeastern Louisiana senior quarterback has been named to the Associated Press All-America Team. Less than a week after earning first-team honors from STATS Perform, Kelley earned second-team honors from the AP.

The Lafayette native has already been selected as the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the spring football season.

Kelley may soon take home another prestigious honor.

Kelley is among three finalists for the Walter Payton Award, which is awarded to FCS’ top offensive player. The other finalists are Eastern Washington quarterback Eric Barriere and Sacred Heart running back Julius Chestnut.

During the spring season, Kelley led the Southland Conference with 2,662 yards passing and 27 touchdowns responsible for (18 passing, seven rushing and two receiving).

Kelley also ranked among the NCAA leaders in passing efficiency (6th), passing touchdowns (4th), passing yards per game (2nd), rushing touchdowns (11th), total offense (3rd), total touchdowns scored (6th) and yards per pass attempt (6th).
