Saturday afternoon wasn’t exactly a stellar one for Caleb Gilbert as he came in to try and put the game away in the ninth. However, the LSU Tigers (19-10, 5-4 SEC) allowed Texas A&M (19-10, 3-6 SEC) to come from behind and take the rubber match by the score of 4-0.

Kramer Robertson picked up where he left off on Friday night in the bottom of the 4th with a two-run shot to left center to put the Tigers on the board. Zach Watson followed it up in the fifth with an RBI single to make it 3-0.

With two outs in the 9th, Hunter Coleman hit an RBI single to get the Aggies on the board. The very next batter was Walker Pennington who came in during the seventh inning. With a 1-0 count, he sent a three-run blast out to left field to get the series win.

Caleb Gilbert dropped to 1-1 on the season allowing all four runs off of three hits, walked one and struck out two in his lone inning of work.

The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday when they take on Grambling (9-16) with first pitch set for 6:30 pm.
