Detroit Lions safety Tracy Walker will miss the remainder of the 2022 season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon during the Lions’ loss to the Vikings this past Sunday.
The former Louisiana Ragin Cajuns standout has had a solid NFL career, garnering 339 total tackles and three sacks in his five seasons in Detroit. Walker recently signed a three-year, $25 million extension to keep him in the Motor City through 2024.
While with the Cajuns, the Brunswick, Georga product was a leader on the defensive side, totaling 275 tackles in his four seasons in Cajun Country. Walker also had eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by Detroit.
