The New Orleans Saints will be without their star running back for the final four games of the 2015 season.
Mark Ingram, who has had shoulder issues since week 12, underwent further tests on his shoulder and was put on the Saints injured reserve on Wednesday.
Ingram has rushed for 769 yards and six touchdowns in 2015. He also was a key factor in the passing game with 405 yards receiving off of 50 catches.
The Saints are ranked at 25th in the league in rushing yards averaging 94.4 yards a game. They will be increasing the workload of CJ Spiller and Tim Hightower for the remaining four games of the Saints season.
