It was announced on Tuesday that former New Orleans Saints’ Jahri Evans and Roman Harper will be inducted into the 2020 Saints Hall of Fame.
Evans played offensive guard for New Orleans for 11 seasons from 2006-2016. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Evans was named to five All-Pro teams and made six consecutive Pro Bowl appearances.
The longtime guard earned four All-Pro honors from 2009-12. He was recently named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s, as well.
Harper was also taken in the 2006 NFL Draft, but he was selected in the second round. The Alabama native entered the league in 2006 and played until 2016. He spent time with the Saints from 2006-13 and played for the Carolina Panthers for two seasons until he returned to the Saints for his final season in 2016.
He appeared in 124 total games for the Saints and totaled 775 tackles and 17 sacks. Overall, Harper recorded 905 tackles, 18 sacks with 11 interceptions. Harper made back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances in 2009 and 2010.
Evans and Harper join recent Saints Hall of Fame inductees Reggie Bush and Marques Colston from 2019.
