The LSU Tigers were hoping that one of their seniors would return to help this team start the Will Wade era off on the right foot. In the case of Jalyn Patterson, they will be without him this basketball season.
Wade announced on Wednesday that Patterson will redshirt the 2017-18 season and explore other options for his future. He will be finishing up his coursework and get his degree from the university in May of 2018.
Patterson averaged 5.8 points per game in his three years with the Tigers.
