Ahead of LSU basketball’s matchup against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday night (tipoff set for 8 pm, pregame at 7:30 on 103.7 the Game), Jordy Hultberg had on former LSU head coach now color analyst alongside Chris Blair on the LSU Sports Radio Network John Brady.
When talking about what the Razorbacks do so well, he mentioned that”They pressure you, they turn you over, they make three pointers and in transition. Arkansas is a much better team at home than they are on the road. They shoot 53 percent as a team at home and 41 percent from three. They’ve got one big guy a 6’11” freshman named Daniel Gafford averaging 12 points per game, but hasn’t taken a three all year long.”
Brady on keys to victory for the Tigers: “It’s going to be an intriguing matchup and the key for LSU is how they control this crowd in the first eight minutes of the game. Do we try to play quick or do we try and slow Arkansas down a bit? Hopefully we’ll be able to take the crowd out of it in the opening seven or eight minutes because if you don’t and you turn it over, that thing can be 18-4 in a flash. We’ve got to patient early on and see how it goes.”
