As the LSU Tigers began to get into the deepest valley of their losing streak in SEC play, the rumblings began once again that head coach Johnny Jones would be ousted.
Now, there are numerous reports coming out that Jones will be relieved of his duties as head coach of the Tigers after their run in the SEC Tournament ends. The news first came courtesy of Andrew Lopez of NOLA.com and the Times Picayune.
This comes after two seasons where they have underperformed and Jones has accumulated a 90-71 record at the university and only one NCAA Tournament berth in his five years in Baton Rouge.
An official word could be coming anywhere from after the Mississippi State game to later in the week after the team gets back to Baton Rouge.
