Louisiana’s Jordan Brown was named Sun Belt Player of the Week for his dominant performances against both Loyola-New Orleans and New Orleans.
During two games over the past week, Brown averaged 21.5 points per game to go along with 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. The Cajuns got wins over both the Wolfpack and Privateers.
Brown, who was selected to be the Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year, shot 56.7% from the field while shooting 8-12 from the free-throw line. He had a season high 27 against Loyola, helping the Cajuns get to six wins in November for the first time in school history.
Louisiana (7-1) will host Samford this Saturday at the Cajundome. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
