The Kentucky Wildcats (28-13, 12-6 SEC) continue to roll behind a strong offensive effort on Sunday afternoon as they took down the LSU Tigers (27-14, 10-8 SEC) by the score of 10-2.
The Wildcats quickly got out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first, highlighted by Luke Becker hitting a two run double to right center field.
Josh Smith tried to get the Tigers back in it with an RBI single in the top of the second, but a pair of home runs in the bottom of the third increased the gap between the two teams.
Kentucky wasn’t done as they put up three more runs in the fourth to take the series from LSU.
Eric Walker had his shortest stint of the season on Sunday with seven runs off of seven hits in two and a third. The freshman dropped to 5-1 on the season with his performance on Sunday.
LSU will look to get back on track on Tuesday when they head to New Orleans to take on the Tulane Green Wave (20-21) with first pitch set for 7 pm.
