After losing multiple coaches and players to other programs to begin the offseason, it appears the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have started to fill the gaps in the staff.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Louisiana is expected to hire Steve Farmer as offensive line coach and Scott Stoker as inside linebackers coach.
Farmer has spent time at Power Five programs, coaching the offensive line of Syracuse, Tulsa, and Utah State recently. He also has nine years of offensive coordinator experience and brings a veteran presence to the Louisiana coaching staff. He is currently the offensive line coach for Syracuse in the ACC.
Stoker was most recently the safeties coach at Tarleton State in the Southland Conference with close to 30 years of college experience. He’s most known for being the head coach of Northwestern State from 2002-2008, where he took the Demons to the playoffs twice. He played quarterback in Natchitoches from 1987-1989. Before Tarleton, Stoker had stops at ULM, UTEP, and Sam Houston. Prior to his head coaching stint, he spent seven seasons at McNeese in multiple positions including offensive and defensive coordinator.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more news becomes available.
