For the first time in seven years, the Vermilion and White is ranked nationally in college baseball.
The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, currently on a nation’s best 15-game win streak, found themselves ranked in the Top 25 of three major polls on Monday.
D1Baseball, which has become the top source of college baseball content, has Louisiana ranked 19th in the country while Perfect Game ranked them at 21 and Baseball America has the Cajuns at 24th.
Arkansas held on to the top spot in the poll and the Cajuns are ranked one spot above their Sun Belt Conference counterpart in Coastal Carolina.
Meanwhile, the defending national champion LSU Tigers have been dropped from the rankings following another series loss, this time at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Matt Deggs and the Ragin Cajuns return home this week for five games beginning on Tuesday with Prairie View A&M before Louisiana Tech on Wednesday and Marshall this weekend.
