Bob Marlin has added another transfer to the 2022-2023 roster with the addition of Terence Lewis II on Friday. Lewis, a forward and NJCAA All-American, transfers from Jackson State where he averaged 8.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game last season.
Lewis, a 6’7″ forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland also spent time at North Texas and New Mexico Junior College.
“Terence is an efficient forward that averaged 11 points and eight rebounds in conference play last season at Jackson State,” said Louisiana head coach Bob Marlin. “We believe the intangibles that Terence will bring will strengthen our team and impact winning.”
Lewis posted four double-doubles in his time at Jackson State, with his season high in scoring being 28 against Mississippi Valley. At North Texas, he averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 79% from the free throw line.
During his JUCO stop at New Mexico Junior College, Lewis averaged 19 points and nine rebounds, scoring 30 or more three different times and leading the team to a 23-9 record. Lewis shot 60% from the field and 83% at the charity stripe.
