Head football coach Michael Desormeaux and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns filled three more coaching positions Thursday evening.
The Cajuns added LaMar Morgan as the Defensive Coordinator, Matt Bergeron as Running Backs coach and Bryant Ross as Louisiana’s Assistant Offensive Line coach.
Morgan is a former Cajuns assistant coach and will also coach the safeties. He was a standout safety for the Vermillion and white from 2003 to 2007 and returns back to Lafayette after he was the cornerbacks coach for Vanderbilt during the 2021 season.
Bergeron has been apart of the Ragin’ Cajuns staff, serving multiple different roles on the offensive side of the football since the 2018 season. He was the running backs interim coach for the 2021 New Orleans Bowl, assisted in script writing for practices and helped to create play sheets and was apart of film breakdown, just to name some of his previous duties.
Ross worked with Louisiana’s offensive line from 2018 up to the 2020 season and makes his return after spending a year with Grambling as their offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
