Just as it seemed like the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns and Southeastern Louisiana would get this game in after being pushed back on Friday, the game was suspended in the 11th inning.
After being deadlocked at two runs apiece after nine innings, the Cajuns were able to get two runs across to take the lead. However, Southeastern was able to respond in the bottom half of the inning as rain began to come down at Alumni Field. The Lions would tie things up off an RBI single from Bobo and a bases loaded hit-by-pitch.
It remained tied until the rain came down even harder in the bottom of the 11th with two outs and one man on base before a rain delay was called. It didn’t take long for the game to be postponed and will be continue on March 29th when the two teams face off again.
The Cajuns will take the field yet again on Tuesday when they take on Nicholls State (1-2) in Thibodeaux with first pitch set for 6 pm.
