Louisiana Tech Crushes Louisiana in Midweek Matchup

Posted by clintdomingue on April 18, 2018 in Blogs, Latest News

After going on a five-game win streak, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (20-18) were brought back down to Earth on Wednesday night falling to Louisiana Tech (26-13) 15-2.

How It Happened

Mason Robison wasted little time getting the Bulldogs on the board with two-run blast out to left field. However, it wasn’t until the third that things really started to go off the rails with a four-run third inning, followed up by a five-run fourth, to make it 11-0 ballgame.

Dalton Skelton really put the finishing touches on things in the seventh with a solo shot to right field to make it 12-0.

Austin Perrin dropped to 2-5 on the year, allowing six runs, four of which were earned off of five hits in two and a third.

Big Number: 17

The Bulldogs bats were on fire tonight with 17 hits, six of which were for extra bases.

Player of the Game: Mason Robinson

It’s not often that you see a player hit for the cycle, but Louisiana Tech’s Mason Robinson did just that on Wednesday night, going 4-of-6 with five RBIs on the evening.
