LSU Demolished By Texas A&M in SEC Tournament

Posted by clintdomingue on March 12, 2016 in Clint Domingue, Latest News

The LSU Tigers run in the conference tournament ended with one of the poorest performances of the season, with the Aggies destroying the Tigers by the score of 71-38.

The matchup between the two teams started off slow, with both teams shooting poorly. But the Tigers proceeded to not make a shot from the field for about 11 minutes of game time. This gave Texas A&M an opportunity to go on a 20-1 run. Admon Gilder ended the first half with a deep three at the buzzer to go into the locker room with a 35-13 lead.

The second half started just as the first with poor shooting from LSU and the Aggies capitalizing on the Tigers mistakes. The Tigers just looked like they gave up as the second half progressed on the way out of the SEC Tournament.

Ben Simmons led the Tigers with 10 points, 11 boards, and one assist, one block, and one steal on the afternoon.

Tony Trocha-Morelos led the Aggies with 13 points, three boards, one assist, and two blocks on the afternoon.

The LSU Tigers will now wait to see what their postseason fate is, while the Aggies will await the winner of Kentucky-Georgia in the SEC Tournament Final.
