Posted by clintdomingue on March 5, 2016 in Latest News

The LSU Tigers completely dominated the Fordham Rams (3-6) in the first game of a Saturday doubleheader by the score of 15-1.

Beau Jordan got the Tigers on the board first in the bottom of the first with an RBI double.

The bottom of the second really set the tone of this game with a pair of bombs by Jordan Romero and Jake Fraley to put LSU up 5-0.

Fordham finally got on the board in the top of the fourth with an RBI single by Bardwell.

The scoring for LSU continued in the bottom of the fifth with Beau Jordan making it home off a wild pitch. Twin brother Bryce Jordan was able to score shortly after a grounder by O’Neal Lochridge.

Bryce Jordan helped put the game away in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run single and scored off of a wild pitch.

John Valek improved his record to 3-0 on the season allowing one run off three hits and striking out three batters in five innings of work.

The Tigers (8-2) play Fordham in the second game of the double header with first pitch set for 6:30 pm.
