The LSU Tigers earned a NCAA Regional berth for the 17th consecutive time.
The Tigers received the No. 10 national seed and will be the host team for the Baton Rouge Regional
LSU (40-15) will take on No. 4 seed Prairie View A&M on Friday. No. 2 seed Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will also take on No. 3 seed Omaha in the other game on Friday.
LSU wrapped up yet another stellar season under coach Beth Torina as the Tigers won 40 games for the eighth time under the longtime coach.
The Tigers have made an NCAA Regional a total of 24 times with the first one occuring in 1998. The program has made an NCAA Regional every season since 2006.
LSU is looking to earn its first trip to an NCAA Super Regional since 2021. The Tigers have made nine trips to the Super Regionals and has reached the Women’s College World Series six times.
