The LSU Tigers (13-5) got in a long ball game on Wednesday night. In fact, they got into the longest game by innings since 1989 as they fell short against the UNO Privateers (10-4) 7-4.
The Privateers looked to be getting out of this game in the 11th when Owen Magee gave them the lead in the top of the 11th with an RBI double. However, Antoine Duplantis hit an RBI single to left field to tie it back up.
UNO would get in the lead in the 15th inning with three runs capped off by a bases-loaded walk.
Collin Strall dropped to 0-2 on the season allowing four runs off four hits, walked one, and struck out three in four and two-thirds innings of work.
The Tigers will open up conference play with the Georgia Bulldogs (8-10) with first pitch scheduled for 7 pm.
