After the first half performance by the LSU Tigers, it seemed like they could actually win this road matchup. It wasn’t meant to be as Wake Forest got incredibly hot from beyond the arc in the second half on the way to a 110-76 win.
The Demon Deacons started out strong with a 10-0 run but the Tigers responded quickly and cut the lead down to two points with 12 minutes left in the first half. Wake Forest was able to hold onto the lead and the half would end with LSU making the last six points to make it a five point game.
Wake Forest came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, especially from beyond the arc thanks to several wide open looks the Tigers deficit would extend to 27 points with 13 minutes remaining. It would be all Demon Deacons the rest of the way.
The Tigers (8-3) will open up conference play next Thursday when they take on Vanderbilt (6-6) in the PMAC with tipoff set for 8 pm.

11: Number of made three pointers that Wake Forest had in the second half. LSU had only made 11 shots from the field in the final twenty minutes.
8: Number of assists the Tigers had in the losing effort. Wake Forest nearly tripled the amount of assists that LSU had with 22.
40: LSU’s field goal percentage in the game. They were also an abysmal 29 percent from three point range, only making four shots.
