Well, that didn’t take long.
LSU started off 2016 with a bang, hiring Wisconsin’s defensive coordinator Dave Aranda to the same position for the Tigers. LSU made the announcement official Friday night, a little more than 48 hours after the announcement that Kevin Steele would be heading to Auburn.
Aranda had been part of the Badgers for the past three years and ended the 2015 season ranked third in the nation, behind Alabama and Boston College.
Aranda is expected to be bringing his 3-4 defense that has been considered versatile to the LSU Tigers.
In a interesting twist, the LSU Tigers will be facing Aranda’s former team in the season opener inside Lambeau Field on September 3rd.
