LSU Offense Explodes in 14-1 Victory Over Hawaii

Posted by clintdomingue on March 11, 2018 in Blogs, Latest News

Whatever it was that LSU’s (11-6) offense was eating prior to the rubber match against Hawaii (8-6), they need to keep eating that after their offense put together one of their best performances all season with a 14-1 win.

Austin Bain put the Tigers on the board with an RBI single through the left side in the bottom of the first. Later in the inning, Hunter Feduccia got Bain across home plate with an RBI double out to right field to make it 2-0.

LSU began to pull away in the third with a four-run inning capped off by an RBI double down the left field line by Hal Hughes. Things truly got out hand though when they put together a seven-run fifth inning highlighted by a pair of two-run doubles from Daniel Cabrera and Feduccia.

Ma’Khail Hilliard improved to 4-0 on the season allowing three hits in five and a third innings of work. He also struck out three and walked two on the afternoon.

LSU will return to action on Wednesday when they take on South Alabama (9-7) with first pitch set for 6:30 pm.
