LSU Places 10 on AP All-SEC teams

LSU Places 10 on AP All-SEC teams

BATON ROUGE — The LSU football team placed 10 on The Associated Press Al-SEC teams, with quarterback Joe Burrow, freshman cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and head coach Ed Orgeron all earning specialty awards.

Burrow was the unanimous selection as the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, Stingley Jr. was selected as the SEC Newcomer of the Year, and Orgeron was named the SEC Coach of the Year.

Burrow, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase were the only three players in the SEC to be selected unanimously to the All-SEC first team. Stingley Jr. was also selected to the first team defense.

Six more Tigers earned second team honors, including wide receiver Justin Jefferson, guard Damien Lewis, kicker Cade York, safety Grant Delpit and cornerback Kristian Fulton.
