After a year away from Baton Rouge, the road to Omaha for the Tigers will begin at Alex Box Stadium.
After an impressive run in the SEC Tournament, the LSU Tigers were announced as one of the 16 regional host sites on Sunday evening. The Tigers have looked good down the stretch, going 8-3 in their last 11 games including the SEC Tournament.
This will be the 11th straight season that LSU will be in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament dating back to Paul Mainieri’s second season as the head coach in 2008 and their 32nd time being in the tournament with their first appearance being in 1975.
The Tigers will find out exactly what seed and who their opponents will be on Monday at 11 am during the selection show.
