It’s not often you see the LSU Tigers get shutout in Hoover. In fact, the last time they were shutout was back in 2004 against Georgia. But that’s what happened on Saturday afternoon as the Florida Gators exacted some measure of revenge from Wednesday, beating the Tigers 1-0.
The sole run came off the bat of Jonathan India with a double down the left field line that allowed Guthrie to score.
Caleb Gilbert dropped to 4-4 on the year allowing one run off of five hits, walked three, and fanned three batters in five and two-thirds innings of work.
LSU dropped to 42-18 on the year and will await their postseason fate on Monday while the Gators will take on the Texas A&M Aggies on Sunday afternoon.
