The LSU Tigers won the series after completing the first game of the series Saturday afternoon, but were unable to complete the sweep against Florida (44-11, 19-10 SEC).
In the first game, LSU got on the board not long after they resumed play with Kramer Robertson hitting an RBI single. But the Gators tied things up in the top of the fourth when Schwarz scored off of a passed ball.
Greg Deichmann gave LSU the lead right back with a single through the right side that allowed Bryce Jordan to reach home safely.
LSU would put the game out of reach in the bottom of the fifth as they exploded for five runs, highlighted by a three-run double from Deichmann.
The Gators would score two runs in the top of the sixth, but were unable to complete the rally against LSU.
Riley Smith improved to 2-0 on the year allowing three runs off of four hits and walked two in three innings of relief. Parker Bugg got his third save of the season with three shutout innings, striking out two.
In game two, the Gators struck quickly in the top of the first with Schwarz hitting an RBI double to left field, followed by Liput hitting an RBI single to right center field to make it 2-0 early on.
LSU responded with a solo shot in the bottom of the first from Jake Fraley to cut the lead in half.
Florida would extend their lead in the top of the fifth with a three-run double from Jonathan India. Latter in the inning Schwarz hit a sac fly that allowed India to score.
The Tigers tried to rally in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI double to right center field from Chris Reid, but it was too little too late.
Caleb Gilbert dropped to 4-3 on the year allowing four runs off of five hits, walking one, and striking out two batters in four and a third innings of work.
LSU ends the regular season with a 39-17 record and 19-11 in the SEC, which makes them the five seed in the SEC Tournament.
