LSU’s super regional against Louisiana-Lafayette at Alex Box Stadium will start Saturday, the NCAA announced Monday night.
Game times and television coverage will be announced Tuesday morning.
The Tigers (51-10), winners of the Baton Rouge regional, will host the Cajuns (42-21), winners of the Houston regional, in a best-of-three series with a trip to the College World Series on the line. Game 1 will be on Saturday, Game 2 Sunday and an if-necessary Game 3 Monday.
The NCAA divides the eight super regionals series – four Friday-Sunday and four Saturday-Monday. LSU requested to have its super regional begin Saturday, coach Paul Mainieri said after the Tigers beat UNC-Wilmington 2-0 Monday.
Some games are still on-going as of 11 p.m. Monday, but all super regional dates have been determined.
