DENHAM SPRINGS, La. –  After capturing the Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference (LCCAC) regular season championship in its first year, LSU Eunice Baseball landed five members on the All-Region 23 team.  The team was announced during first-day action of the Region 23 Tournament on Saturday.

The 15-member team was voted on by the four head coaches encompassing the LCCAC with All-Region team members now eligible for NJCAA All-American honors later this month.

LSU Eunice members on the All-Region 23 team include Tyson LeBlanc, Alex Dupuy, Aidan Mouton, Jackson Legg, and Alec Beversdorf.  LSUE’s five representatives tied Delgado CC for the most from a single institution.

LeBlanc picked up where he left off following his impressive freshman season on the Cajun Prairie, becoming one of the focal points of the LSUE offense.  The sophomore led the way in virtually every statistical category for the Bengals, pacing the team in hits (73), doubles (18), home runs (10), RBIs (58), runs scored (65), and stolen bases (34).  He produced 14 multiple RBI games, 21 multiple hit games, and held a 37-game streak of reaching base safely.  Defensively, LeBlanc had a hand in 24 double plays while enjoying a .966 fielding percentage.

Dupuy set the table for the potent LSUE attack, hitting .387 from the lead-off spot while producing 38 runs batted in and 53 runs scored off 11 doubles, five triples and four home runs.  He would hit for the cycle in a 34-1 win over North Iowa Area CC, scoring a single-game high six runs in the contest.  The 2024 World Series Defensive Player of the Tournament fielded a .936 clip while having a hand in five double plays.

Mouton was a breakout star for LSUE in his redshirt freshman campaign.  The utility player would see action in the outfield, infield, and on the mound.  On the offensive end, Mouton led the Bengals with a .426 batting average, scoring 64 runs and 50 RBIs while producing 10 doubles, a triple and 10 home runs.  He had 14 multiple RBI games, manufactured 21 multiple hit games, and had a team-high 19-game hit streak at one point during the campaign.

On the mound, the right-hander did not give up a run in 7.1 innings of work, picking up three saves.

Legg established himself as a power bat in the meat of the LSUE lineup, smashing six home runs to go along with 14 doubles and three triples.  The sophomore hit .367 while leading the team with 44 walks.  He would have a 31-game streak during the year of reaching base safely.

After playing a key role in the LSUE rotation during the 2024 National Championship run, Beversdorf settled in as the ace on this year’s staff.  The sophomore led the Region with 10 wins, ranking Top 5 nationally in that category.  Beversdorf sported a 10-0 record and 3.63 earned run average, striking out 74 batters and holding opponents to a .242 average.  He would throw four complete games during the spring,

His selection makes it seven straight years that LSUE has landed a pitcher on an All-Region squad.

LSU Eunice finished the 2025 regular season with a 49-3 record, the second most wins in a regular season in program history.  The Bengals posted a 15-2 record in LCCAC play to capture the LCCAC regular season championship.
