The 2025 Ryder Cup teams were finalized on Wednesday, and two players who attended colleges in Southwest Louisiana will be apart of the event.
Former McNeese Cowboy Robert MacIntyre qualified on his own to represent Team Europe, and former LSU Tiger Sam Burns was selected as a captain’s pick for Team USA.

MacIntyre enjoyed a breakout season on the PGA Tour in 2025. He enjoyed six top-10 finishes with two runners-up. In addition, one of those 2nd place finishes happened in the US Open, while MacIntyre finished tied for seventh in the Open Championship.
Burns also had six top-10s and finished with one runner-up this season. The former Tiger made the cut at all four majors and finished tied for seventh at the US Open. His strong finish at the FedEx Cup Playoffs, including tied for seventh at the Tour Championship bolstered his case and ultimately helped Keegan Bradley select him for a captain’s pick.
The Ryder Cup takes place Friday September 26th through Sunday September 28th at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
