LSU will play Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Texas A&M every year for the next four seasons — if not longer.
The Southeastern Conference has announced the permanent opponents for each member school, starting with the new nine-game conference schedule that begins in 2026. The Tigers will play the Rebels, Razorbacks, and Aggies every season.
The SEC also announced the conference opponents for all teams for the 2026 through 2029 seasons on Tuesday night.
In addition to playing permanent opponents (Arkansas and Ole Miss on the road and hosting Texas A&M), LSU will also host Alabama, Mississippi State, and Texas in 2026. The team will play at Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Brian Kelly’s team will also open the season hosting Clemson in a non-conference contest.
For the 2027 season, LSU will host Arkansas, Ole Miss, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma. The team will travel to take on Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
In 2028, LSU will host Texas A&M, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, and play at Arkansas, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State, and Texas.
Finally, in 2029, LSU will host Arkansas, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. The team will play at Texas A&M, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma.
With the new scheduling format, the annual opponents of each SEC school will be reevaluated every four years. That means adjustments could be made based on competitive balance and other factors. That wouldn’t happen until the 2030 season.
Also, in this new nine-team league schedule, every program will have three annual opponents and six rotating opponents. Every team will play one another at least once every two years and every opponent home and away for four years.
