The LSU Basketball team will start the season without one of their veterans, according to head coach Johnny Jones.
Keith Hornsby underwent a medical procedure in New Orleans on Tuesday. Jones however did not divulge the exact nature of the injury.
The senior guard will miss an undetermined amount of games to start the season according to Jones.
Hornsby averaged 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 2014 for the Tigers as they made it to NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009.
Unlike last year, Jones has a variety of options in terms of replacing Hornsby because of the amount of depth they have in the guard position.
