The LSU Tigers will have even more help when they take on the Clemson Tigers on January 13th with Michael Divinity being cleared to play.
Head coach Ed Orgeron announced during a National Championship conference call that the senior out of Marrero, Louisiana will be able to play when the Tigers take on Clemson in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Divinity was on the sidelines during the 63-28 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners last Saturday and took to social media stating that he would be back on the field in 2020.
Divinity left the program for personal reasons headed into the game against Alabama. He returned to practice with the team two weeks later, but hadn’t played in any of the last six games.
Despite missing nine games this season, Divinity is tied for fourth on the roster with three sacks and tied for third with three quarterback hits.
