The LSU Tigers basketball season has mercifully come to an end.
This season had been painful to watch as the Tigers would lose game after game and it looked like there was no bright side to their trainwreck of a season. However, the season ended on Wednesday when Mississippi State took down LSU 79-52.
The game started out pretty strong for the Tigers as they had an early lead and managed to keep it competitive throughout the first half. That is until the final minutes as the Bulldogs began to dominate in the final minutes and headed into the locker room with a 37-25 lead.
That momentum Mississippi State had continued to push them forward in the second half. LSU managed to get the deficit down to single digits, but with 8:39 left in the game, they began to dominate and ended the game with a 27-point victory.
By the Numbers:
4.5: LSU’s three-point percentage. The Tigers have had poor shooting percentages, but this reached a new level of awful.
19: Number of points for Quinnadry Witherspoon. He led Mississippi State going 6-for-10 from the field and perfect from the charity stripe.
