Fresh off of his win at the 2025 Players Championship, Rory McIlroy has committed to playing in the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open.
The event will be played at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas from March 27-30.
McIlroy, the number two ranked player in the world, just won his 28th career PGA Tour event at TPC Sawgrass this past weekend. He joins a star-studded field in Houston.
World number one Scottie Scheffler headlines the field, playing in his home state once again. World number eight Wyndham Clark has also committed to the tournament.
Also this week, the event got a commitment from fan-favorite Rickie Fowler, who last won on tour at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Major champions Matt Fitzpatrick, Danny Willett, Gary Woodland, Francesco Molinari, and Padraig Harrington are among the others that will be competing.
Last year’s event was won by Stephen Jaeger, and he is set to defend his title. Former champion Tony Finau is also back in the field.
The Shriners Children’s Houston Open is put on in partnership with the Houston Astros and will continue to add players to the field in coming days.
