Every off-season in college baseball, change is inevitable.
For Louisiana baseball, it’s a thing they’re used to. 2022 has started off no different.
According to D1Baseball’s Transfer Tracker, pitchers Chipper Menard, Drew Shifflet, and Hayden Durke have transferred out of the program. Durke, according to multiple sources, hasn’t been with the team since the Rice series in early May.
Other players to transfer out of the program include Bobby Lada and a host of players not on the roster, such as Bryce Calloway, Jack Clark, Maddox McDonald, Clint Lasiter, and Caleb McNeely.
The player that has the most impact on the list is Menard, as he most recently pitched in the College Station Regional two weeks ago. Menard leaves Louisiana with a 4.72 ERA and a 6-2 record.
The Game will update this post as more transfer news becomes available.
