The Houston Astros announced today that outfielder Michael Brantley would miss the remainder of the season after suffering a shoulder injury back in June.
Today, General Manager James Click told the media that Brantley underwent surgery to repair an arthroscopic labral repair on his right shoulder.
Brantley has been on the Injured List since hurting his shoulder on June 27. In 64 games this season, Brantley was hitting .288 with five homers, 14 doubles, and 26 RBIs. He also carried an OPS of .785.
Brantley has been with the organization since 2019, earning two All-Star nods while hitting a combined .306 in 379 games with an .832 OPS.
The fact that he is currently 35 years old has Astros fans worried that we may have seen the last of Michael Brantley in Houston.
