The calendar had just flipped over to 2020 and LSU football started the new year off with a big commitment for the 2021 class.
Raesjon Davis announced his commitment to LSU on Twitter, making him the fourth to commit to the program. The California native is the number one outside linebacker in the 2021 class according to 247Sports.
Davis attends Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, California, the same the school that Elias Ricks attended prior to transferring to IMG Academy. Ricks, the nation’s No. 2 cornerback of the 2020 class, signed with LSU on the first day of December’s early signing period.
The five-star linebacker joins Mississippi’s Deion Smith (No. 20 wide receiver), Florida’s Anthony Hundley (No. 36 defensive tackle) and West Monroe High punter Peyton Todd as part of a 2021 class that is currently ranked 28th nationally by 247Sports.
