It was an underwhelming 2023 season for the New Orleans Saints as they finished with a 9-8 record and second in the NFC South. Since then, the new league year has begun, the draft has concluded, and now the official 2024 schedule for the Black and Gold has been released.
Bits and pieces of the schedule were leaked throughout Wednesday and earlier in the week but the NFL has announced when and where the Saints will be in the fall.
Of the 17 kickoffs for the Saints’ 2024 season, 11 will be at noon, three are during prime time (two on Monday night and one on Thursday night), two are scheduled for 3:05 p.m., and one is TBA.
For the preseason, New Orleans will be at Arizona from August 9th-12th to play the Cardinals, head to San Francisco for an exhibition against the 49ers on August 18th, and conclude at home versus the Tennessee Titans.
In week one, the Saints will host their division rival Carolina Panthers then take a trip to Jerry’s World to take on the Cowboys. New Orleans will wrap up September with a home matchup versus the Eagles and a road game against the Falcons.
For October, the Black and Gold will be in a hostile Arrowhead environment to play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Then, the following Sunday host the Buccaneers and the Denver Broncos four days later for Thursday Night Football as Sean Payton makes his return since leaving the Saints. The final October game will be in Los Angeles against the Chargers in the mid-afternoon.
November begins with a road game in Carolina, then two home games versus the Dirty Birds and Cleveland Browns. Week 12 will be their bye week as the team will be off for Thanksgiving.
Then in December, the Saints have a 3:05 kickoff with the Rams in the Superdome on the first day of the month but will be in East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the Giants the following week. After that, it’s a home game versus the Commanders and a road game with the Packers at Lambeau Field on December 23rd for the second and final Monday Night Football matchup.
Week 18’s kickoff time has yet to be decided but the opponent will be against the Bucs at their home field in early January.
