Parish Wide Curfews Set

Lafayette Parish

After updated forecasts from the National Hurricane Center and after consulting with the Mayors, Chiefs of Police, and Chiefs of Fire in Lafayette Parish, Mayor-President Josh Guillory has decided to adjust the parish-wide curfew. It will now begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 and end at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020. Only emergency and essential personnel are allowed to travel during the curfew. The curfew may be extended if the situation warrants.

Acadia Parish

A parish-wide curfew will be in effect for Acadia Parish, including all municipalities, from dusk until dawn beginning Friday, October 9, 2020, until further notice.

Iberia Parish

The City of New Iberia has issued a city-wide curfew. The curfew is in effect beginning Thursday, October 8, at 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. and Friday, October 9, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Emergency personnel will be allowed on the roadways during the set curfew times. The New Iberia Police Department reminds citizens to stay safe throughout the storm including during the aftermath.

St. Landry Parish

A curfew will be in effect between noon Friday, October 9, through 8 a.m. Saturday, October 10. Only essential workers responding to Hurricane Delta’s recovery should be on the roads during this time.

St. Martin Parish

St. Martin Parish President, Chester R. Cedars has declared a curfew for all of St. Martin Parish beginning Friday, October 9, 2020, at 12 p.m. until Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 8 am.
