New Orleans Pelicans fans got an early Christmas present on Friday afternoon when they saw that the Pels will play in a Christmas Day game against the Denver Nuggets.

As first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans will have a Christmas Day game for the first time since 2015 when the Pelicans were sluggish in a 94-88 loss to the Miami Heat. Tip time is still to be determined.

Other games Wojnarowski says sources have confirmed for one of the NBA’s premier game days include the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics taking on the Toronto Raptors.

Another game that was leaked on Friday was when Anthony Davis would make his return to the crescent city and that is on November 27th when the Lakers square off with the Pelicans in “The Blender” for the first time since the trade that changed the landscape of the two franchises.
