The New Orleans Pelicans will have the 13th overall selection in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The Pelicans entered Thursday night’s NBA Draft Lottery with a 1.2 percent chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick. Instead, they will make their pick late in the lottery.
They finished 32-40 for the season and 13th in the Western Conference standings.
New Orleans drafted Zion Williamson with the first overall pick in last year’s draft along with Jaxson Hayes at No. 8 and Nickeil Alexander-Walker with the 17th pick.
