LSU shortstop Taylor Pleasants was named the Player of the Week in the Southeastern Conference for the second time this season.
The junior led LSU with a .615 batting average and eight base hits. She added four runs, four RBIs, and two doubles while racking up a .769 slugging percentage and a .643 on-base percentage.
Pleasants now ranks 7th in the conference in RBIs with 45 and is currently 8th in school history with 163 career RBIs.
This is the fourth career weekly award for Pleasants and the sixth of the season for LSU softball.
The 13th-ranked LSU softball team will travel to Tuscaloosa for a Top 20 matchup with #16 Alabama. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. Friday from Rhoads Stadium.
