The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (17-12) simply established dominance on Tuesday when they took down Nicholls State (17-13) by the score of 18-2.
Ishmael Edwards got thing going for the Cajuns with a two-run blast down the right field line in the bottom of the third. Nicholls State cut away at the lead in their next at-bat with Gavin Wehby hitting an RBI single to left center field.
The Cajuns began to dominate in the bottom of the fourth with four runs highlighted by a two-run triple from Josh Aguilar.
The Cajuns got four more runs in the sixth and that was pretty much all she wrote as they continued to dominated in the seventh and eighth innings.
Jack Burk improved to 2-3 on the season allowing two runs off of nine hits, walked one, and struck out six batters on the night.
The Cajuns will next travel to Conway, South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina (19-10) with first pitch on Friday set for 5 pm.
