The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns road woes continued on Saturday, dropping another game to the Troy Trojans by the score of 10-6.
How It Happened
The Trojans wasted very little time putting the Cajuns behind the proverbial eight-ball with a four-run first inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Sadler Goodwin. The Cajuns got on the board in the second inning with a sac fly by Colton Frank, but Goodwin struck again in the bottom frame with a two-run double to make it a 6-1 ballgame.
After Orynn Veillon scored off of a Nathan Camp groundout in the fourth, Manning Early started to close the door shut with an RBI single through the right side. The final blow was dealt by Drew Frederic when he drilled one out to left-center field in the bottom of the seventh.
Big Number: 4
The Cajuns defensively broke down, committing four errors on the afternoon. It was very much unexpected.
Player of the Game: Sadler Goodwin
Goodwin made it look easy on Saturday, going two-of-five and getting three RBIs on the day.
