The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (9-5) had a long night in the city of Ruston on Wednesday night.
The two teams took each other to the limit, but it was Louisiana Tech (14-2) that came away with a 6-5 win thanks to Chase Lunceford hitting a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 13th inning.
The Cajuns looked to be firmly in control after a great sixth inning where they put up five runs. The inning was highlighted by a two run single from Brenn Conrad to give them a 4-2 lead. Izzy Edwards would make it 5-2 with an RBI single.
The Bulldogs would rally back into the game with one run in both the sixth and seventh innings. The game would get tied in the bottom of the ninth with Raphael Gladu hitting a leadoff solo shot to right center field.
Evan Guillory dropped to 0-2 on the season allowing one run off of three hits, walked two, and struck out one in three and two-thirds innings of work.
The Cajuns will return to action on Friday inside Russo Park when they open up conference play against App State (8-9) with first pitch set for 6 pm on Friday.
