The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns suffered some early missteps early on and couldn’t quite get the lead after some adjustments in the second half because of stellar blocking on the way to their eight game win streak being snapped by the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs got their lead up to 11-0 before the Cajuns got there first bucket due to Bryce Washington getting into foul trouble two minutes in. The lead would remain that way for most of the first half, but a 10-4 run thanks to Justin Miller getting hot from behind the arc in the closing minutes would make it a 38-29 deficit heading into the locker room.
The Cajuns would take the momentum they had at the end of the first and continue to inch closer with a short run from the Cajuns got them within two points. However, that would be as close as the Cajuns would get with Georgia separating themselves and eventually walking away with a 13 point win.
The Cajuns (8-3) will have a midday matchup in the Lakefront Arena on Saturday when they take on the UNO Privateers (4-4) with tipoff set for 2 pm.
