New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk will miss the entire 2024-25 season, as he was placed on the physically unable to perform list on Thursday.
The move comes after an off-season of uncertainty surrounding Ramczyk’s health and the future of his playing career. He has dealt with knee injuries throughout his career.
After undergoing knee surgery in the off-season, Ramczyk’s future became a big concern, with the coaching staff non-committal on whether or not he would continue his career. The injury did not progress to a point where a return looked likely, so the Saints made the move today to put him on the Reserve/PUP list. According to Ian Rapoport, a vested veteran going on this list means they will not play during the season.
Ramczyk has been an anchor of the Saints’ offensive line since entering the league in 2017. He is a three-time NFL All-Pro selection.
New Orleans will likely turn to rookie Taliese Fuaga and Trevor Penning in Ramczyk’s absence. The offensive line struggled plenty in 2023-24.
